Phyllis Vita Caruso, 94, formerly of Sunset Rd., Hamden, died Aug. 26, 2009 at St. Raphael's Hospital. She was the widow of Alfred M. Caruso. Phyllis was born in Teramo, Abruzzi, Italy, Jan. 31, 1915, the daughter of the late Ladislov and Louise Selmont Vita and was a charter member of the Farms Country Club where she enjoyed playing golf....
