Chiara Buonanno Viele, 95, of 18 Collins St., Hamden, died at home, Sept. 6, 2009. She was the wife of the late Nicola Viele. Chiara was born in Montesarchio, Italy, May 20, 1914 the daughter of the late Biagio and Giuseppina Buonanno and had resided in Hamden most of her life.She was a seamstress at the Henry Richards Co. for many years. She is survived by daughters Tina Sotero of Hamden, and Maria Liguori of Meriden, a son, Frank Viele of Hamden, 7 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by sisters Carmela Cozutto, Maria Palluotto, Annunziata Viele and Concerta Buonanno and a brother Biagio Buonanno. The family would like to express many thanks for the great home care she received from Marvet, Dahalia and Denise. Friends are invited to go directly to St. Ann's Church, Wednesday at 10 o'clock for a Mass of Christian Burial followed by interment in Hamden Plains Cemetery.
