Obituary

Harry Vincenzi, ( Vincent) 92, of 75 Washington Ave., Hamden, Bldg. 3, #302, Hamden, passed away Saturday, Sept. 26, 2009 at the W.H. Veterana Medical Center. He was the husabnd of Rose Martino Vincenzi. Harry was born in New Haven, Aug. 22, 1917, the son of the late Onorato & Bruna Vincenzi and was employed at Sikorsky Aircraft until his retirement in 1982. He continued working as an income tax consultant, initially with H & R Block and then privately until 2002. He served in the US Coast Guard during WWII from 1943- 1946. Harry enjoyed traveling with his beloved wife Rosie, going to Hawaii and Italy and many place in between, along with 20 cruises. He liked playing cards with friends and was known for riding his red Columbia bike throughout Hamden until he was 90. He was a longtime Yankee, Giant and Celtic fan. Beside his wife, he is survived by a son Harry Vincenzi, daughters, Annette Lee and Maryann Torello, three grandchildren, Jeffrey, Jasaon and Justin and 4 great grandchildren.He was pre-deceased by a sister Florence and a brother Ansen Vincenzi.He was a great family man and will be missed by all who knew and loved him Funeral Tuesday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, l022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Ann's Church at 10 o'clock. Burial in Centerville Cemetery. Freinds may call Monday from 5 to 7:30 P.M.
