Albert Maturo,92, of 905 Main St., Hamden died Sept. 20, 2009 at Conn Hospice after a long illness. He was the widow of Erminia Goduti Maturo. Al was born and raised on the family farm in Hamden, the son of the late Anthony and Anna Raccio Maturo. He owned and operated the Maturo Truck Leasing Co. for over 30 years prior to his retirement. He continued farming as a hobby until moving to Florida for 10 years. After the passing of his wife Erma, he moved back to Hamden to be with his family. He is survived by daughters, Mrs. Douglas ( Linda ) Mackenzie of Wallingford, Cheryl Maturo of Guilford, Renee Maturo of Hamden and Mrs. Vincnet ( Susan ) Santana of Milford, sons, Rocco ( Barbara ) Maturo of Wallingford and Philip ( Isabel ) Maturo of North Haven, grandchildren, Michael Maturo, Hillary Mackenzie, Matthew and Dylan Maturo, and one great-granddaughter. He was pre-deceased by sisters, Julia Diglio and Frances DeSantis and brothers Samuel and Frank ( Hank) Maturo. Services and interment were held privately.
