Virginia Carolla Fresolone, 85, of 35 Hamden Hills Dr., Hamden, died April 30, 2011 at St. Raphael's Hospital. She was the widow of Edward J. Fresolone. Virginia was born in Hamden, June 28, 1925, the daughter of the late John and Mary Colasanto Carolla, and was a lifelong Hamden resident. She was the cashier at the Hamden Tax Office prior to her retirement and was past president of the Ascension Womens Guild, past president of St. Rita Rosary Society of St. Ann's Church and a member of the Miller Senior Center. She is survived by daughters,Mrs. Lewis (Katherine) Traester of Cheshire and Mrs. Daniel (Mary Ann) Zuckerman of Bloomfield, sisters, Anna Rubertone and Mrs. Frank (Gloria) Sauro, both of Hamden and 3 grandchildren, Amy & Andrew Zucherman and Carolyn Trarster. She was pre-deceased by siblings, Joseph Carolla, Rose Seneca, Lorraine DeNicola and Eleanor Carolla. Funeral Tuesday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at The Church of the Ascension at 10 o'clock. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Friends may call Monday from 4 to 7 P.M.
