Violet Rose O'Neil Alberino, 88, of 43 Michael Rd., Hamden, died Feb. 16, 2011 after a brief illness. She was the wife of Daniel M. Alberino of 68 years. Violet was born in New Haven, July 16, 1922, the daughter of the late William and Mary "Mae" Carey O'Neil and was a cashier at the Orange Stop & Shop for over 20 years, prior to retiring. Beside her husband , she is survived by daughters, Carole( Dominic) Murgo of East Haven, Rosemary(Benjamin Sr.) Figueroa of Madison and Gail(Robert) Lawlor Sr. of Meriden, sister of Jean McCarthy of Hamden and the late William Jr., Dorothy, Wesley and Nancy O'Neil, grandmother of Robert Lawlor Jr. NHPD, David Lawlor, Brian Lawlor, Benjamin Figueroa Jr., Joseph Murgo,EHPD and the late Daniel Figueroa and eight great-grandchildren, dear friend of Patricia Young of No. Branford. Funeral Tuesday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, l022 Dixwell Ave, Hamden and at St. John the Baptist Church at 10 o'clock. Interment in Beaverdale Mem. Park.
