It is with deep sorrow and love that we announce the passing of Vincenza (Vinnie) L. Candido of Hamden, who passed away on October 13th, 2026 after a brief illness at Yale New Haven Hospital. Born on October 27th, 1944 in New Haven, CT. She was the loving mother of Corey (George) Knoll of Hamden, Ct. And sister to brother Michael Lucibello of Hamden, Ct. and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her father and mother, Salvatore and Carmel Lucibello and her baby sister Agnes Iannucci. Vinnie was an avid reader. She loved her books and animals. On Sundays if you called her, she told you that she was busy watching football and she would talk to you tomorrow. Per her request, her body was donated to science.
