Vincent Vollono, 94, of Pembroke Rd., Hamden,  died Sept. 13, 2017 at CT Hospice after a long illness. He was the husband of the late Virginia Middlebrook Vollono. Vincent was born in New Haven, Dec. 4, 1922, son of the late Joseph and Caroline Votto Vollono and was a supervisor at Berger Bros. for over 30 years and then worked as a custodian for the Hamden Board of Ed. An Army Veteran of WWII, he was with the Military Police that guarded Gen. Patton throughout his European Campaign. He was also a Hamden Registrar of Voters. He  is survived by his devoted daughters, Diane Vollono of Hamden and Joanne Giaquinto (Robert) of Milford and grandchildren, Craig Giaquinto, Lea Giaquinto Levine and Alexis Giaquinto. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Anna Hatton and  brother Fred Vollono. Funeral with military honors, Tuesday at 10:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden ,and at Blessed Sacrament Church at 11 0'clock. Interment in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 8:15 to 10:15.
