Vincent "Vin" Perricone, 91, of Hamden, died Jan. 8, 2019, at his home surrounded by his loving family. He was the beloved husband of 68 years to Joyce DelGrego Perricone. Vin was born in New Haven, Feb. 8, 1927, the son of the late Silvio and Antoinette Rapuano and was a New Haven Police Officer for 28 years, retiring as a Lieutenant, in charge of the Identification Unit. He went on to work at the Municipal Police Training Center in Meriden for another 10 years. He liked nothing better than playing golf with his friends and was a member of Laurel View Country Club. Beside his loving wife he is survived by a daughter, Deborah (Jerry) Meshell of Orange, a grandson, Brian Meshell of Arlington, MA, whom he was extremely proud of, and a brother, Jack ( Rebecca) Perricone of Framingham, MA. He was pre-deceased by a brother, George Perricone. Funeral services will be held Friday at 1 PM in the Peter H. Torello Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden followed by interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Friends may call Friday from 11 AM to 1 PM.
