Vincent Guarniere, 92, of Hamden, passed away on Saturday, Oct. 11, 2014, after a short illness. Vincent was the widower of Letha Kenney Guarniere. Born in New Haven on July 13, 1922, the son of the late Anthony and Antoinette Amato Guarniere, he lived in North Haven for many years prior to moving to Hamden, 13 years ago. He worked for John Handcock Insurance Co for many years, from which he retired. He is survived by a daughter, Joan Simler, a son, Paul (Barbara) Guarniere and his grandsons, Craig Simler, and Christopher (Amanda) Guarniere, a sister Marion Bertolini and a sister in law, Muriel Kenney Wright. He was pre-deceased by a son in law Frank Simler. Friends are invited to a Memorial Mass at 11:00, on Saturday, Oct. 18th, at St. Rita's Church in Hamden, Interment is private.
