Vincent Paul Aceto, 81 of Cheshire, formerly of Branford passed away peacefully on December 31, 2023. Vinny, as he was known to all, was born on June 3, 1942 in New Haven, CT to the late Francesca Jennie Carrubba and Louis Salvatore Aceto. He attended Hamden High School and graduated in 1961.  After graduation Vinny began his trade studies, mastering skills in carpentry, flooring, and construction. Vinny was known for his sense of humor, easy-going nature, and desire to help and serve others. If someone needed something made or fixed, he would jump in and figure out how to get it done. Above all else Vinny valued family, and the light of his life was his son Ryan, "Pal" as Vinny called him.  When Ryan was young, they spent many hours together camping, playing games and traveling to Ryan's sporting and musical events. Vinny worked hard all his life to give Ryan the life he felt he deserved and Ryan has spent his adult life making sure he gave that same love and devotion back to his father. Vinny epitomized quiet love…you always felt it, even if he didn't speak it. He is survived by his son Ryan and his husband Jonathan Sudbey, as well as his three brothers Antonio and his wife Rachael, Louis and his wife Jeannie, and Robert and his wife Joan.
