Victor L. Gaetano, 90, of 128 Indian Well Rd., Shelton, formerly of New Haven, died Nov. 12, 2011 at Griffin Hospital. He was born in New Haven, May 21, 1921, the son of the late Dominik and Philomena Maturo Gaetano, residing in the Westville section of New Haven and was employed at the Olin Corp. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean Conflict, and a member of the American Legion. An avid golfer, he enjoyed the comradery with his golf buddies, both on the course and after, at the Prihillian Club, to which he belonged. He also enjoyed playing cards. He is survived by his longtime devoted best friend companion, Grace Grasso of Shelton. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 12 noon in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park, Hamden. Friends may call Wednesday morning from 10:30 to the time of the service.
