Vanda Ghiloni Cardonita Torello, 87, of 290 Treadwell St., Hamden, died Sept. 17, 2012 at her home after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Joseph Cordonita and Pasquale Torello. Vanda was born in the Bronx, NY, Dec. 5, 1924, the daughter of the late Angelo and Emma Biagioni Ghiloni and was employed at Tomco Mfg. for 20 years prior to retiring. She is survived byher devoted children, Mrs. James (Toni) C. Wood of Wallingford and Joseph Cardonita of Hamden, three grandchildren, Melissa Cardonita, J.B. Wood and Stefanie Werner. She was pre-deceased by brothers Ezio and Dino Ghiloni. Friends are invited to attend a Memorial Mass of Christian Burial in Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 o'clock on Saturday morning.
