Thomas Lambert Sr., 92, of 38 Winnett St., Hamden, died at Gaylord Hospital after a brief illness. He was the husband of 63 years of Mary Scungio Lambert. Tom was born in Bristol, the son of the late Matilda Fiorillo DellaRocco and was a general foremen of vehicle maintenance for the New Haven Post Office for 42 years, retiring in 1984. He was an Army Veteran of WWII, a member of the 102nd Infantry Div., Carmel Council #3605, K of C, and the American Legion, Post 88. A Hamden resident most of his life, he enjoyed the casinos, traveling to Hawaii and the Carribean and most of all his family, especially building hot rods with his son. Beside his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Fred (Marilyn) Bethke of Hamden, a son Thomas (Sarah) Lambert Jr., of North Haven, grandchildren, Christopher Lambert of Wlfg. and Thomas Lambert III of North Haven and great-grandchildren, Gianna, Isabella & Lucianna, all of Wlfg. He was pre-deceased by brothers, Frank, James, Louis and Anthony Lambert. Funeral, with military honors, Saturday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, l022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Rita's Church at 10 o'clock. Entombment in the Mausoleum in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 P.M.
