Theresa D'Ambrosio Ventresca, 92, of Hamden, died April 20, 2016, at the Branford Hills Health Care Center after a long illness. She was the widow of Alfred  R. Ventresca. Theresa was  born in New Haven, June 16, 1923, the daughter of the late Angelo and Adreanna D'Ambrosio and was a lifelong resident of Hamden. She enjoyed her loving grandchildren and devoted nieces and nephews as well as cooking and watching the Yankees. She is survived by her son, Alfred (Tracy) Ventresca of Branford, and her grandchildren, Matthew and Mark Grey and Nikki Ventresca. She was pre-deceased by her daughter, Marie Grey and siblings, Carolyn, Annette, Al and Andrew. The family would like to thank all the wonderful care givers at the Branford Hill Center.  Funeral Friday, at 10:30 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Ann's Church at 11 o'clock. Interment in Beaverdale Mem. Park. Friends may call Friday morning from 8:30 to 10:30.
