Theresa R. Massaro DeAngelis, 99, of Wallingford, died at Masonicare Jan. 28, 2018 after a long illness. She was the wife of the late James J. DeAngelis. Theresa was born in New Haven, July 31, 1918, the daughter of the late Louis and Julia Massaro and had resided in Hamden all her life. She was employed at Caldors Dept. Store for over 20 years, prior to retiring and enjoyed traveling with her husband. She was a former member of St. Rita Rosary Society of St. Ann's Church. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth (Frances) DeAngelis of Northford, Vincent (Esther) DeAngelis of Ft. Meyers, FL and Raymond (Elizabeth) DeAngelis of Hamden, grandmother to Kristin DeAngelis (Matt Schmidt), Robyn McManus (Tom), Debbie Flonc (Joey), Michele McLaughlin (Pete), David DeAngelis and Stevin DeAngelis (Jennifer) and 8 great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by her siblings, Mary Romano, Rose Tyner, Viola Cassella, Pauline Parmalle, Fanny Massaro and Louis Massaro. Funeral Thursday at 10:45 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, and at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 11:30. Interment in All Saints Cemetery, North Haven. Friends may call Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM.
