Susan Acampora Mongillo, 95,of Spruce St. West Haven, died at Conn. Hospice surrounded by her loving family, June 4, 2016. She was the widow of Clement Mongillo Sr.. Susan was born in New Haven, Nov. 6, 1920, the daughter of the late Luca and Carmela D'Amato Acampora  and was a long time parishioner of St. Paul's Church, an avid reader, and a homemaker. She was the mother of Annette DeCesare (John) and Cynthia Milano-Houle (John), all of Hamden and Clement Mongillo Jr. (Laurie), of Higganum, grandmother of Alicia Corcoran (Ken), Clement Mongillo III, Susan Magliochetti. (Paul) and Noelle Oberdick (Michael). and 8 great-grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a son in law, Gerald Milano, siblings, Rachael Harvey, Rose Colloso, Anthony and Peter Acampora and a granddaughter, Carmela Mongillo. Funeral Tuesday at 10:30 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden  and at Blessed Sacrament Church at 11 0'clock. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 8:30 to 10:30.
