Simon Del Buono, 76, of Lucy St., Woodbridge, died suddenly at St. Raphael's Hospital after being stricken at home. Simon was born in New Haven, Nov. 12, 1935, the son of the late Louis and Sussie Mongillo Del Buono and was employed at the State of Conn., DOT for 25 years. He was also a self employed stone mason. He was very involved in breeding, training and field competition of beagle dogs and was a member of the Little Rhodie Beagle Club. He is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Craig (Barbara) Spencer of Woodbridge, sons, Robert (Linda) Del Buono of Bethany, David DelBuono and Richard DelBuono, both of Bethany, sisters, Angie Mocher and Carol Coughlin, both of FL. grandchildren Anthony, Alexandria, Brittany, Sarah, Nicole, Richard, Rachel, Janna, Nicholas and Jenifer and great-grandchildren, Kayla and Lily. He was pre-deceased by a son Alfred Del Buono and a grandson, David Del Buono. He will be greatly missed by his lifelong friend, Louis Antonino. Funeral Thursday at 10:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden, and at Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Litchfield Turnpike, at 11 o'clock. Interment in East Side Burial Grounds, Woodbridge.
