We mournfully announce the passing of Salvatore Gradoia 90, of West Haven, formerly of Hamden. Sal passed Sept. 17th at home with his family by his side. He was the loving husband of the late Gail Sorenson Gradoia to whom he was married for 65 years. Born in New Haven, son of the late Salvatore & Maria Perricone Gradoia, he worked as a printer/ graphic designer. He is survived by sons; John (Annmarie), Paul, & Robert Gradoia, and grandsons, John & Brett. Besides his wife, he was predeceased by brothers Francesco "Frank" & Mario, and a sister Lucille. A devoted family man, Sal lived a full and vibrant life. He was a Korean War Veteran, and in his youth, played semi pro baseball for the West Haven Sailors. He was an avid sports fan, and continued his love for baseball in his later years. Friends are invited to go directly to Church of the Ascension, Hamden, FRIDAY at 10 A.M. for a memorial Mass. Interment will follow in Centerville cemetery.
