Rose(DeLucia) Ressa, 89, of Hamden passed away peacefully on Sunday, December 14th, at CT Hospice, Branford. She was the wife of the late George Ressa. Rose was born in Hamden April 9, 1925; daughter of the late John and Margaret DeLucia. She is survived by her son Anthony Ressa of Hamden and her daughter Rosina(Donald)Hurley of Branford. She was the grandmother of Mark(Franchesca)Suddock of Norwalk and the late Ryan Hurley. She was the sister of Minnie Hurley, Mary Salvietti, Michale DeLucia and the late Andrew DeLucia. Rose was an excellent baker and family and friends enjoyed the treats she made with love. For the last years of her life, she spent Tuesday mornings with her friends at St. Ann's Church Young at Heart Club playing bingo. Friends may call Friday morning, December 19th from 8:30 to 10:30 A.M. at the Peter H. Torello & Son F.H. 1022 Dixwell ave. Hamden. A funeral mass will follow at 11 A.M. at St. Ann's Catholic Church, 930 Dixwell ave. Burial will be at Beaverdale cemetery.
