Rose Lois Mercugliano, 85, of 45 Farm River Rd., Branford, died at Arden House, Hamden, after brief illness on Oct. 7, 2015. Rose was born in New Haven, July 23, 1930, the daughter of the late Dominick and Antoinette Pacelle Mercugliano and resided in Branford most of her life. She was an x-ray technologist at The Radiology Group, for over 40 years, prior to retirement. An active member of St. Elizabeth Church, she was a member of their Woman's League, the Ladies Auxillary, Co. #4 Firehouse in Short Beach and was a volunteer at Animal Haven. She is survived by her loving brother, Lawrence (Katherine) Mercugliano of Hamden, and was the cherished aunt of Marianne (Alan) Glanzman and Lawrence (Donna) Mercugliano, Jr.,and two great nephews She was pre-deceased by her siblings, Marguerite Coughlin and Joseph Mercugliano. Funeral Saturday at 11:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Elizabeth Church, Branford, at 12 noon. Interment in All Saints Cemetery.
