Rose A. Graziano Fioretti, 93,of Hamden, died on Christmas  Day, Dec. 25, 2018 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late Gustave A. Fioretti. Rose was born in New Haven Aug. 6 1925 the daughter of the late Domenico and Concetta Iannotti Graziano. A lifelong Hamden resident, graduate of Hamden High School, she was  loving, devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother and friend, with unshakable faith and determination. As the oldest of five sisters she took on many demanding duties throughout her life. Married to Gus for 48 years they had a son Bill. Although she had worked in the Hamden School cafeteria's ,she made sure she was always home before Bill arrived from school. She was an excellent cook, especially anything Italian. Rose worked diligently and  tirelessly in and out of the house and was fussy about her work as she was about her appearance. Her family shared many interests though out the years, especially road trips, family gatherings and entertainment. In her later years, she enjoyed reading, classic movies, music and reminiscing. She retained a great memory for details and observation and only until recently, limitations set in, but with the help of many family, friends and caregivers, she never lost her faith and determination. She lived at home for all but her last three days. Rose will be missed by all who knew her.  She is survived by her devoted son William "Bill" Fiorretti , a sister Lorraine (Donald) Fioretti, both of Hamden, and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her sisters, Marie Ferrigno (Louis), Lena Sette (Joseph) and Rita Vellleca and her in laws, Gustave Sr. and Mary Fioretti. Funeral service will be Monday at 10 AM in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave.,Hamden. Interment in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Monday morning from 8 to 10 AM.
