Rosaria C. LaPorte Ferrucci, 75, of Hamden, died March 31, 2011 at CT Hospice. She was a devoted and loving mother to Christine Elizabeth Ferrucci of Hamden and Vincent Frank Ferrucci of New Haven. Rose was born in New Haven, March 28, 1936, daughter of the late Rocco and Rosaria Longo LaPorte and moved to Hamden 15 years ago from New Haven.She retired in 2003, after 17 years of employment with the State of Ct., and previously worked for Mite Corp. for 3 years. She was a parishoner of Blessed Sacrament Church and a member of the Hamden Senior Center. Rose, affectionately known as " The Queen" enjoyed spending quality time, including going on many family trips with her two children and the family dog, Giacomo. In addition to her children, she leaves her former husband, Vincent Peter Ferrucci, brothers, Albert LaPorte of Hamden, John LaPorte of Hallandale, FL and a sister Mary(Joseph)Festa of Hamden & several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by brothers Joseph, Paul and Michael LaPorte and sisters, Concetta Borelli and Rose Grillo. The family would like to express thanks to the medical staff at the Hospital of St. Raphael, Hamden Health Care Center and the CT.Hospice of Branford. Funeral Monday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and 10 o'clock at Blessed Sacrament Church. Burial in Beaverdale Mem. Park. Friends may call Sunday from 3 to 7 P.M..
