Ronald J. Anthony, 68, of Hamden, died July 7, 2017 at the West Haven VA Medical Center after a long illness. He was the husband of Theresa Tarango Anthony. Ron was born in New Haven, May 11, 1949, the son of the late Wesley and Isabelle Brown Anthony and had resided in Hamden most of his life. He was a diesel mechanic for Penske, Polumbo Truckers, Petry's Trucking and  Bridge Haven Ford, prior to retiring and was a Navy Veteran of the Vietnam War. He enjoyed fishing and Nascar racing. Beside his wife, he is survived by sons, Ronald (Michele Davies) Anthony and Robert Anthony, both of Hamden, a sister, Shirley Calvo of Bfd., and a brother Wesley (Deborah) Anthony of Guilford, and three grandchildren, Ronald, Collin and Madison. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Robert Anthony. Funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1 P.M. in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral  Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Interment in Beaverdale Mem. Park. Friends may call Tuesday from 11 AM to 1 PM at the funeral home.
