Rocco W. Iezzi, 68, of 122 Clifford St., Hamden, died Aug. 1, 2011 at St. Raphael's Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Barbara Sette Donarumo Iezzi. Rocco was born in New Haven, Oct. 27, 1942, the son of the late Michael and Alma Iezzi and his birth mother Ruth Pascarella and was an insurance agent for 40 years, owning the Rocco Agency for the last 30 years. A Hamden resident most of his life, he served in the US Navy and was a member of the Hamden Elks Club. Beside his wife, he is survived by sons, Frank Donarumo of Sanford, ME, David Iezzi and Steven Iezzi, both of Hamden, brother of Peter (Cynthia) Pappas of Hamden, Vincent (Brenda) Iezzi of No. Branford, Michael R. (Amy) Iezzi of Hamden and Robert A.(Donna) Iezzi of Louisville,KY, step brother of Brenda, Carol, Anna, Karen and Henry. Grandfather of Katie Vasquez, Kailee Donarumo and Alysia Iezzi. Funeral Thursday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Rita's Church at 10 o'clock. Interment in Centerville Cemetery, Hamden.
