Obituary

Robert P. Testa, 83, of North Haven, passed away Aug. 5, 2017. He was the husband of 56 years, of Josephine D'Adio Testa. He was born in New Haven, Dec. 18, 1933, to the late Louis and Anna (Starin) Testa. Beside his wife, he is survived by a son, Steven (Katie) Testa of North Haven ; grandson Nathan; and siblings Louis (Dolores) Testa of Madison and Margaret (Michael) Caruso of Killingworth; and several nieces and nephews. Robert was drafted by the US Army and proudly served his country. In fourth quarter 1957, he was chosen 18th AAA Group soldier of the quarter. Robert was a food broker for many years. He held titles of Retail Sales Supervisor, General Manager and Vice President of the Western New England division of Pezrow Enterprises. He was Branch Manager  and Vice President with Knott-Sheehan Co. responsible for sales and merchandising of product lines throughout CT. and Western MA. He was also the President and owner of Testa Sales & Marketing. He held board positions with the Conn. and Western MA Food Brokers Ass'n and was also active in the CT. Knights of the Grip, Knights of Columbus and Prihillian Clubs. Friends are invited to go directly to St. Barnabus Church for a mass of Christian burial Thursday, at 10 A.M. and may call at the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden Wednesday from 4 to 7 PM. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park.  Memorial contributions may be made to American Heart Ass'n, 5 Brookside Dr., PO Box 5022, Wallingford, Ct.
