Obituary

Reverend Dominic DellaRocco of Hamden entered eternal rest on November 17th after a brief illness. Born in New Haven on October 9, 1954, Reverend Dominic was the first-born child of the late Domenic and Florence DeLucia DellaRocco of Hamden. For over 38 years, he served as a Missionary Chaplain and was ordained thru The Catholic Charismatic Church. Among helping so many people through his ministries, Reverend Domenic enjoyed music, reading, cooking, sewing, arts and crafts, nature, and most of all, Family. He was always there to lend a listening ear and a shoulder to cry on. He is survived by sisters, Mary Lou (Richard) Dini, JoAnn (Michael) Mallozzi, AnnMarie Charbonneau (Ron Sotere), Margaret (Thomas) Griffin and Brother Salvatore DellaRocco, 6 nieces, 5 nephews, 4 great-nephews, 1 great-niece. His God-sons are Robert McDonald of Pueblo, Colorado; and nephews Stephen Charbonneau and Thomas Griffin, Jr. Reverend Dominic is also survived by several cousins, aunts, uncles and many friends – all of whom held a very special place in his heart. Alongside his parents, he was pre-deceased by Grandparents Louis and Philomena Valentino DeLucia and Salvatore and Lucy Longobardi DellaRocco. A graveside service will be held at All Saints Cemetery FRIDAY November 24th at 9:30 am. Please meet at the front entrance (9:15) to follow to the burial site. In lieu of Flowers, donations in his memory can be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital www.stjude.org
