Reinaldo Ortiz 68 of New Haven died October 12, 2025 at Yale New Haven Hospital after a brief illness. He was born in New York, New York December 7, 1956, and moved to Connecticut at a young age. After his father passed he became caretaker of his loving mother, Carmen Perez DeLaRosa, which whom he resided. He was always helping family members and neighbors, and became a mentor to many troubled youth. Reinaldo had a passion for art, he loved to draw & paint. In addition to his mother, he is survived by a brother Angelo DeLaRosa of Maryland, and a number of nieces, nephews, grand nieces, & grand nephews. At the request of the family, all services will be privately held.
