Regina L. Piccirrilli Masciantonio, 99, of Guilford, died. Jan. 11, 2019, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was the wife of the late William Masciantonio Sr. Regina was born in Bethlehem, PA., the daughter of the late Frederick and Anna Castellucci Piccirrilli and resided in Hamden most of her life. She was a graduate of The Stamford School of Nursing and was a RN at Yale-New Haven Hospital, operating room nurse, for over 10 years. She then took time off to be the best mother ever, returning to nursing in her later years, where she was a supervisor at Whitney Manor, until her retirement, when she moved to Guilford. She is survived by her devoted children, MaryAnn Masciantonio of Hamden, Lorraine (Joseph) Paolella, Regina A. Masciantonio and Louise (Robert) Panicali, all of Guilford, Fred (Christine) Masciantonio and William (Sheri) Masciantonio, both of Hamden, and the late Joseph Masciantonio. a sister, Josephine Durso of Hamden, and grandchildren, Joseph Paolella, Tina & Ian Perry, Lauren & Elias Maldonado, Lisa Masciantonio, Matthew, Jordyn, and Andrew Panicali and Deanna & Marc Masciantonio, and 5 greatgrandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Antoinette Piccirrilli. Friends are invited to go directly to St. George's Church, Guilford, Tuesday at 11 AM for a Mass of Christian Burial, followed by interment in All Saints Cemetery. Friends may call Monday from 5 to 7 PM at the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden.
