Ralph G. Tomaselli, 89, of Ursini Dr., Hamden, died Sept. 2, 2015 at his home after a long illness. He was the husband of Esther Moslowitz Tomaselli. Ralph was born in New Haven, Oct. 23, 1925, the son of the late Nicholas and Jennie Santanella Tommaselli and had resided in Hamden the last 50 years. He was a Navy Veteran of WWII and upon returning after the war, joined Chapel Construction Co. as a laborer, in 1946 and rose to become President of the company. He was devoted to his family and his co-workers, loved animals and enjoyed his trip to Italy. Besides his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Hilary(Peter)Nickerson of Wallingford, brothers, James(Catherine)Tommaselli of No. Haven, Frank(Phyllis)Tommaselli of New Haven and Gennaro Tommaselli of Branford and grandchildren, Kaylin, Christopher, Emily, Stephen, Jordyn and Samatha. He was pre-deceased by sibling, Charles Tommaselli and Angelina Long. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 10:30 AM in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Interment with military honors, in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Friends may call Saturday morning from 8:30 to 10:30.
