Raffaela Mae Giordano Ciarleglio, 92, of 135 Putnam Ave., Hamden, died at Arden House on Friday, Dec. 19, 2014, after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Salvatore Ciarleglio. She was born in New Haven, May 1, 1922, the daughter of the late Pasquale and Nicolina Grillo Giordano and prior to her retirement, she worked as a bookkeeper for the Finest Supermarket chain for over 30 years. She is the loving mother of her son and daughter in law Salvatore (Valerie) Ciarleglio Jr, grandmother of Anthony (Teresa) Ciarleglio, Gary (Tanya) Ciarleglio, Steven (Shari) Ciarleglio and great grandmother of Natalie, Amelia and Aaron Ciarleglio. She is also survived by a sister in law, Jewel Giordano and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Tuesday at 9:30 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home ,1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 o'clock. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 8 to 9:30 A.M.
