Rae Brillante Masotta, a lifelong resident of Hamden, entered into eternal rest on May 15, 2012 at the Mary Wade Home. She was the widow of Anthony Masotta. Her life was dedicated to her family and to generously giving of herself to others. Her family has wonderful memories which she made by hosting holiday diners at her home. Her smile, laugh and positive attitude will be missed. The New York Yankees have lost a dedicated fan who will continue to cheer them on. She is survived by a loving niece, Natalie Burke( David Kniess) of Hamden, a sister, Rose Pace of Arizona and several nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a sister, Toni Burke, and brothers, Joseph and Bartholomew Brillante. Funeral services will be held Friday morning at 10 o'clock in the Peter H. Torello & son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamden. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Rae's memory, to the Mary Wade Home, 118 Clinton Ave., New Haven, Ct. 06513.
