Phyllis Crieger Wharton, 88, of New Haven, wife of the late Joseph Wharton, who died in 1991, died Nov. 2, 2015 at Conn Hospice. She was born in New Haven, daughter of the late Michael and Theresa Pacelio Crieger, graduated from Commercial High School, and attended Stone School of Business. She is survived by her children, David Wharton(Cathi Blise)of St. Louis, MO, Susan Aprea(Chuck)of Hamden and Paul Wharton(Linda Mirabella)of Branford, grandsons, Zachary and Gabriel Aprea of Hamden, a brother Michael(Mary)Crieger of Hamden, niece and nephew, Debbie and Michael Crieger, a sister in law, Ann Crieger of Branford. She as pre-deceased by a brother, Frank Crieger. The family would like to thank the entire staff of the Boardman Residence at the Mary Wade Home in New Haven for the exceptional care she received there, particularly from Joy and Marie and the staff at Ct. Hospice, with special thanks to Pat. Funeral Thursday at 8:30 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Therese Church, North Haven, at 9 o'clock.
