Phyllis Sargolini, 78 of Hamden died October 24th at Yale New Haven Hospital after a long illness. She was the loving wife of the late Frederick Sargolini II. Born in Shenandoah, P.A. daughter of the late Edward & Leona Thomas Bredickas, Phyllis worked for many years as a bookkeeper. She was an avid gardener, who also enjoyed bowling, sewing & knitting, and cooking & baking. Lately, Phyllis most enjoyed Face Timing with her grandchildren. She is survived by a daughter Linda (John) Kozak of Killingworth, a son Frederick III (Ann) Sargolini of New York, grandchildren, Christina (Devin) Widdecomb of Maine, Becky Kozak of East Berlin, John Kozak Jr. of Killingworth, & Margo Sargolini of New York, and a great grandchild Evie Widdecomb. She was predeceased by a brother Edward Bredickas and a sister Joan Bredickas. Calling hours will be held WEDNESDAY from 8:30 - 10:30 am in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. A parlor service will take place at the same location at 10:30 am. Interment will follow in Hamden Plains Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society ( www.LLS.org ).
