Ms. Pearlie Nell Thompson, 63 of E. Providence, R.I, formerly of New Haven went home to be with the Lord on July 21, 2024 at Rhode Island Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Ruben Thompson of Enterprise, Alabama and the late Lillian Thompson of Jackson County, Florida. Pearlie worked at Stop & Shop, and enjoyed cooking and sewing. She was loved dearly and will be missed by so many. Pearlie is survived by her two adult children, Micheal and Laseanna Thompson, brothers Ruben Jr., Ozell and Scottie Thompson, and sisters Flora Jean Isaac, Pearlean Portee, Barbara Charles, Brenda Lazare, Marie Belton, and Karen Belton. She was predeceased by her parents, Ruben and Lillian Thompson.

God Saw You

God saw you getting tired,
and a cure was not to be.
So He put His arms around you,
and whispered "Come to Me."
With tearful eyes we watched you,
and saw you pass away.
Although we loved you dearly,
we could not make you stay.
A golden heart stopped beating,
but He said it was your hour.
God broke our very hearts,
when He picked another flower,
Pearlie.

Calling hours will be held Tuesday morning from 9:30 - 11:00 am in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden 06514. A parlor service will take place at 11 am at the same location. Interment will follow in Evergreen cemetery.
