Patricia "Patty" Gold, 84, formerly of Hamden and Woodbridge, passed away peacefully March 31st at the Guilford House. Patty was born in East Lyme, on April 24, 1932. She was predeceased by her parents, William and Rose Carrolla; her cherished husband of 58 years, Louis Gold; and her devoted brother-in-law and sister-in-law,Dr. Eli and Adeline Gold of Seattle. Patty was a mother, grandmother and great grandmother, aunt and a friend. She is survived by her son, Louis Gold of Branford, and her daughter Sharron(Daniel)Sleeth of East Haven; her four grandchildren, Eric and Cara Sleeth (Silvio Del Monaco), and Dustin (Nora) and Tomiko Gold; her two great grandchildren, Luciano and Matteo Del Monaco: her beloved sister-in-law and dearest friend, Ann Goldberg; her lifelong loyal friends, Richard Neveloff(Liz) and Ted Danielson; her six nieces and nephews, Jeffery and Steven Gold, Shirley, Barbara and Saul Goldberg, and Sandi Hagen. Patty's family would like to thank the staffs at Smilow Cancer Center, Broadmor Apts., VITAS Hospice , and the Guilford House. Patty's treasured passion was babysitting for any one of her three most loyal and appreciative confidants: Milo, Ollie, and Dobby. She confidently promised them she would, one day, meet them again at the Rainbow Bridge, and together and forever they could play in the sun on those boundless grassy fields. Patty is just arriving.
A memorial service in honor of Patricia's life will be held Saturday May 20th, at 11 A.M. in Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church Hamden.
