Olga Garcia Yu, 85, of Newington died December 3rd at Newington Rapid Rehab. Ctr after a long illness. She was born in Vega Vaga, P.R., June 5, 1934, daughter of the late Herminio de Hoya & Margarita Rodriguez and came to the U.S. in 1953. She worked as a social worker for the city of New Haven for 27 years and resided in New Haven for most of her life. She is survived by her children, Carlos Garcia Jr, and Nora Weston, sister of Edmond Hoyos, Elloia Andujr, Nora Beachup, and Edso Hoyos, and her grandchildren, Carlos, Carlyn, Samaria, Sahara, and Saraya. She was predeceased by a daughter Lillian Peterkin. Funeral services will be held Thursday Dec. 12th at 12P.M. in the Peter H. Torello & Son F.H., 1022 Dixwell Ave. Hamden. Friends may call Thursday morning from 10 A.M. till noon. Burial will follow in Evergreen cemetery.
