Nicholas Raccio, 93, of Hamden died April 1st at the Hospital of St. Raphael. He was the widower of Julia DeStefano Raccio. Born in New Haven, son of the late James and Concetta Raccio, he worked as a tool & die maker for both Winchester and Davis Electric. He was a WWII Navy veteran and an avid fan of the N.Y. Yankees and UConn men & women's basketball. He is survived by a daughter Beverly Reilly of Hamden and a sister Mary Negrucci of Mass.,a granddaughter Sherry(David)Cordani and great-grandchildren Caroline & Nicholas. Besides his wife , he was predeceased by brothers Edward & William Raccio, and a sister Catherine Fusco. Funeral services will be Tuesday 10 A.M. from the Peter H.Torello & Son F.H. 1022 Dixwell ave Hamden, and at 10:30 A.M. at St. Ann's Church. Burial with full military honors at St. Mary's cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 8:30 to 10 A.M..
