Nicholas Lavorgna, 94, formerly of Stone St., New Haven, died Aug. 13, 2011 at the Arden House after a long illness. He was the husband of the late MaryJane Watkinson Lavorgna. Nick was born in New Haven, April 1, 1907, the son of the late Carmine and Rose Guarino Lavorgna and resided in the Westville section of New Haven most of his life. He was a banker, retiring from the First New Haven National Bank after many years. He is survived by several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by sisters Jennie Palmieri and Lena Spragg and brothers, Arthur F. Lavorgna and John (Chaz) Lavorgna. There will be no calling hours. Friends and relatives are invited to a graveside service, Monday morning, Aug. 22, 2011, in Beaverdale Memorial Park, New Haven, at 11 o'clock. The Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
