Natale DiMeo, 76, of 87 North St., died Aug. 9, 2010 in Yale-New Haven Hospital after a long illness. He was the husband of Giovannina Troiano DiMeo. Natale was born in Faicchio, Prov. of Benevento, Italy, Dec. 25, 1933 the son of the late Carlo and Immacolata Palmieri DiMeo, came to the US in 1966, residing in Hamden. He was a meat cutter for 24 years at the Herman Alpert Co and for Hummel Bros. for 14 years. He enjoyed his garden, growing grapes and making wine. He was a member of the Hamden Boce Club. Beside his wife, he is survived by a daughter, Imma DiMeo of Hamden, a son, Carlo (Maria) DiMeo of Hamden, sisters, Yolanda Bruno of North Haven, Amalia Ricciardi of Watertown and Santina Marenna of Italy and brothers, Antonio DiMeo of Italy and Flavio DiMeo of England, and three granddaughters, Giuliana, Alessia and Stefania. He was pre-deceased by a sister, Maria Porto. Funeral Saturday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, l022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamden, Friends may call Friday from 4 to 8 P.M.
