Nancy - Lou Ann Gambori Mirto died Oct. 9th at Yale N.H. Hospital. Nancy was born July 9, 1952 the daughter of the late Anthony & Rita Funaro Gambori, and resided in Hamden all her life. She worked at Yale N.H. Hospital for 30 years starting as a secretary and then as an R.N. having graduated from the Quinnipiac School of Nursing. Nancy loved to cook for family and friends, and was well known for her Easter pies. There was always an open door, a seat at the table, an open ear, a plate of pasta, and a spare bedroom available. She is survived by her children; Tara Mirto of Naugatuck, Marissa Mirto of Hamden, Patrick (Christine) Mirto of Wallingford, and Bryon (Kristen) Mirto of Norwalk, a sister Patricia Gambori of Hamden, 4 grandchildren; Anthony, Jocelyn, Dominic, and Ava, and a niece Jenna Frigo and nephew Nicholas Holt. Friends May call Thursday from 4 - 8 P.M. at the Peter H. Torello & Son F.H., 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Funeral services and burial will be private.
