Missie Terell Kelly Cheek, 33, of New Haven, died suddenly March 13, 2017, at her home. She was born in New Haven, Aug. 18, 1983, the daughter of Kenneth Boykin, and the late Carolyn Cheek and resided in New Haven all her life. She was a teacher's assistant for the City of New Haven for 10 years, a substitute teacher for Source One, operated Misfits Fashion Designs and was a coordinator for Dream Trips. She is also survived by her brothers, Kai Cheek, Aaron Cheek, MacArthur Cheek, Bridell Boykin, Mario Boykin, Kareem Mohammad and the late Kenneth Bagley and Nazareth Cheek, and by her grandmother, Shirley Cheek and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. Funeral service will be held Wednesday at 12 noon in the Church of God & Saints of Christ Church, 109 Beers St., New Haven. Interment in Beaverdale Memorial Park. Friends may call at the church, one hour prior to the service..
