Minnie Marchetti Parente, 93, formerly of Eleanor St., Hamden, died April 5, 2017 at the Madison House. She was the widow of Joseph Parente. Minnie was born in New Haven, Oct. 31, 1923, the daughter of the late Augustine and Rose Rosatti Marchetti and resided in Hamden most of her life. Prior to retiring, she worked at Seamless Rubber Co and Robby-Len Co.  She enjoyed playing pinochle with her card club, trips to the casino, knitting and being with her family. She is survived by her children, Joan(Chris) Eley of Quaker Hill, Roseann (Tim) McNulty of Clinton, Joseph (Jill) Parente of Branford, and Paul( Maureen) Parente of Wallingford, a sister, Maria Mongillo of Hamden, grandchildren, Nicole, Brian, Katy, Ryan, Conor, Ally, Megan and Jamie and 4 great grandchildren. She was pre-deceased by a grandson, Greg, and her siblings Esther Santamossimo, Josephine Laudano, Annette McGowan, Gina Annunziata, Louis and Frank Marchetti. Funeral Friday at 10 o'clock from the  Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10:30. Friends may call Friday morning from 8:30 to 10 AM.
