Michael S. Kelly, 61, of 14 Primrose Rd. North Haven, peacefully laid down his brush, Friday afternoon. while doing what he loved, adding color to people's lives. Mike was born in New Haven, June 8, 1952, the son of the late Michael and Ellen "Nellie" Lyne Kelly, and was a painter at SCSU, operating the M.S. Kelly Painting Co for 30 years. He was a member of the Hamden IA Club, the New Haven Elks and the American Legion Post 88. He is survived by his children, Michael (Bolla) Kelly II, Dylan Kelly and Mrs. Patrick (Michele) O'Connor, all of Hamden, brothers and sisters, Sheila (Joseph) D'Antonio of NC, Maureen Kelly, MA, Thomas Kelly, LasVegas, Vincent (Mildred) Kelly, FL., Edward Kelly, New Haven, Gerald (Carolyn) Kelly, Hamden, Ellen (Philip) Scully of NH. grandfather of Jordan Zikelinski, Patrick O'Connor and Michael S. Kelly III. also survived by his former wife, Lee Ann Kelly and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a brother, John "Jackie" Kelly. Funeral Wednesday and 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. John the Baptist Church at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 3 to 8 P.M.
