Maureen Q. Wolyniec, 77 of Woodbridge passed away peacefully on Jan. 7th at Griffin Hospital after a brief illness. She was born in New Haven, April 12, 1948 to the late William J. Quinlan & Ronata (Cozzi) Quinlan. Maureen is survived by a daughter, Jennifer Wolyniec of Woodbridge, and predeceased by a daughter, Amy Wolyniec D’Amato of Woodbridge. Also survived by a brother, William J. Quinlan of Branford, and a sister, Arlene Quinlan of Woodbridge, as well as two grandchildren and two great grandsons. Maureen graduated from Albertus Magnus College and worked as a director at numerous non-profit organizations including, American Cancer Society, Boys and Girls Club of New Haven, Easter Seals Goodwill, Columbus House, and the Eugene O’Neill Theater. She also served as the Executive Director, St. Raphael’s Foundation and founded a fundraising consulting firm, Q. Maureen was an avid reader, loved the water and politics, and dedicated her lifetime to helping others, including as a volunteer at Schooner, Inc, in New Haven, CT. Services will be held at a date and time to be announced.
