Mary Curcio Sacchetti, 92, of 10 Barraclough Ave., Hamden, died Aug. 31, 2011 at Conn Hospice. She was the wife of the late Anthony Sacchetti Sr. Mary was born in New Haven, Feb. 22, 1919, the daughter of the late John and Concetta Cuomo Curcio and had resided in Hamden the last 65 years. She was a longtime communicant of St. Ann's Church and was a member of their altar society, St. Rita Rosary Society and the Young at Hearts Club. During the war she worked at several armorment factories. She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Anthony (Palmina "Pina") Dattilo , sons, Carmen (and soul mate Kathy Arnold) Sacchetti, both of Hamden, Michael (Susan) Sacchetti of North Haven, and Anthony (Maureen) Sacchetti, Jr. of Hamden, beloved grandmother of Debra Lynn (Peter)Palmieri, Anthony (Emily) Dattilo Jr.,James, Lisa & Stephen Sacchetti, great-grandmother of Jennifer & Justin Higney and Ryan & Lauren Dattilo, greatgreat grandmother of Lily & Ava Higney and many nieces, nephews and 13 godchildren. She was pre-deceasaed by sisters, Anna Tirozzi and Frances Ciampini and a brother Louis Curcio. Funeral Saturday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at St. Ann's Church at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call Friday from 4 - 8 P.M.
