Mary LaPorte Festa, 89, of Hamden, died at her home, Sept. 17, 2011. She was the wife of Joseph L. Festa. Mary was born in Hamden, May 22, 1922, and was a lifelong resident. She was employed at Safety Car Corp for 27 years, prior to retirement. Beside her husband, she is survived by brothers, John LaPorte of FL, Albert LaPorte of Hamden and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by siblings, Concetta Borrelli, Rose Grillo, Rosaria Ferrucci, Joseph, Paul and Michael LaPorte. Funeral services will be held Tuesday morning at 11 o'clock in the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, l022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 9 to 11 A.M. interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamden.
