Mary Fiorentino Grasso, 96, of Paradise Ave. Hamden died peacefully Oct. 13, 2010 at Hamden Health Care. Wife of the late Peter Grasso, she was an award winning foster parent to over 20 children. She is survived by a son "Accordian" Nick (Rosemary) Grasso of North Haven, a daughter Phyllis ( George Sr.) Civitelli and a foster son Ted Neal of Hamden, sisters, Antoinette Latella of Orange, & Elizabeth Fiorentino of Hamden, grandchildren, Peter & Cheryl Grasso, Paul & George Civitelli Jr.,great-grandchildren, Dominic Civitelli and Juliete Rose Grasso. She was predeceased by brothers; Peter, Salvatore"Fred", Dominic, Nicholas, Paul, George, And Philip Fiorentino, and sisters; Frances Massaro, and Anna Caliendo. Funeral Monday at 10 A.M from the Peter H.Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave. Hamden and at 11:00 at the Ascension Church. Burial in All Saints Cemetery.Friends may call Sunday from 5 to 7 P.M
