Mary Susco DePodesta, 90, of Maple Wood of Hamden, died on May 10, 2012 after a brief illness. She was the wife of the late (Oswald) Frank DePodesta. Mary was born in New Haven, Feb. 9, 1922, the daughter of the late Vito and Maria Breda Susco and had resided in Hamden most of her life. She was an accomplished seamstress and had served as treasurer for the the family owned and operated DePodesta Construction Co.. She was a member of the Ladies Guild of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church. She is survived by sons Anthony DePodesta of Branford and Richard DePodesta of Hamden, grandchildren, Craig ( Audrey) DePodesta, Brian (Melissa) DePodesta, Tricia (Price) Fradin and Kristin DePodesta and great grandchildren, Avery, Katie, Jenna, Andrew, Jack and Adelina. She was pre-deceased by a granddaughter, Melissa DePodesta and a sister, Edith Teodosio. Funeral Tuesday at 9:15 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Church at 10 A.M. Interment in St. Mary's Cemetery, Hamden. Friends may call Monday from 4 to 7 P.M.
