Mary DiNicola Allen, 83, of Hamden, died at her home, July 19, 2016, after a long illness. She was the wife of the late Eugene Allen. Mary was born in New Haven, March 12, 1933, the daughter of the late Peter and Carmela Mastrianni DiNicola and enjoyed being a housewife and a mom and enjoyed cooking for her family. She is survived by her children, Gregory Allen of Hamden, Lori (Tim) Longden of Meriden and Linda (Andy) Rua of Cheshire, sister of Bennie (Lucille) DiNicola of North Haven and the late Helen, Dorothy, Phyllis, Louis and Anthony. Also survived by 4 grandchildren. Funeral Friday at 9:30 from the Peter H. Torello & Son Funeral Home, 1022 Dixwell Ave., Hamden and at Blessed Sacrament Church at 10 o'clock. Interment in St. Lawrence Cemetery. Friends may call from 8 to 9:30 AM Friday morning.
